Here at Bully Max, we’re proud to make the healthiest high-protein, delicious dog foods around. But once in a while, you may just feel like making your dog a good old home-cooked meal…and this beef sirloin skillet is just the ticket! It’s rich in protein, healthy fats, and nutrients.
We even add tender herbs (minced parsley) for a fresher flavor and increased nutrition.
Some tips for this recipe:
- Feel free to substitute different vegetables if your dog has a particular preference.
- Our dogs love the sirloin, but you can also substitute another form of beef (like ground beef). Sometimes you can save some money that way.
- Some dogs may be allergic to eggs, so take note if your dog has allergies!
The whole meal is quite easy to prepare, and serves as a great change-up to your dog’s regular diet.
Ingredients
- 3 cups of white or brown rice
- 2 pounds of beef sirloin strips
- 6 hard-boiled eggs
- 4 medium carrots
- ¼ cup minced parsley
- 3 tbsp avocado oil
Directions
Starting cooking the rice according to the instructions on the package, since this will take the longest to cook.
Next, hard-boil the eggs by putting them in a pot of water and bringing it to a boil. Boil for 10 minutes, then carefully move the eggs to cold water to shock them (this makes them easier to peel).
While those ingredients cook, heat the oil in a skillet and cook until done. When the meat is fully cooked, let it cool and slice into smaller bite-sized pieces.
Peel and shred the carrots and mince the garlic.
